Bluebells is a lovely self-catering lodge at Dartmoor View Lodges, which has always been a ‘non-pet zone’.
We have 2 weeks available in the 2024 summer holidays: 17th August and 24th August with a Saturday check-in!
Bluebells is a lovely self-catering lodge at Dartmoor View Lodges, which has always been a ‘non-pet zone’. A recent kitchen upgrade now incorporates a dishwasher, tall fridge/freezer and additional storage.
This lodge differs slightly in that the main bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom is a twin with 3ft single beds with memory foam mattresses. We have new recliners in the lounge and also offer a ramp in Bluebells for customers who struggle with steps.
Outstanding views of Dartmoor which is 10 miles distant and all of the beautiful countryside in between. Situated in a part of Devon that enjoys some of the blackest night skies in the UK due to very little light pollution. This is a sanctuary for wildlife including hedgehogs and bats and birdlife is varied and abundant.

Sorry, no dogs allowed in this accommodation (see Buttercups or Brambles lodges where dogs are welcome). Also the lodge and site are not really suitable for very young children so no-one under the age of 4 please unless by prior agreement.

RENTAL NOTES
Check-In:
- Check-in from 4pm / check-out is 10am. Please call 01409 231390 or 07890 072515 if you are likely to require a late check-in.
- Please Note: There is a £50 security/damage deposit payable – refunded within 3 days of your holiday providing there is no damage.
Payment:
- We take just a £100 deposit, paid at the time of booking online to secure lodge and the dates you want (subject to email booking confirmation).

Once cleared payment has been made, email confirmation that your holiday has been successfully booked will be sent to you.
Balance Payment:
- We will send you an invoice for your final payment 6 weeks before the date of your holiday, along with details of how to find us. If the booking is within 6 weeks, the total amount, including security/damage deposit, will be due at the time of booking.
No Dogs:
- No dogs allowed at this lodge, sorry!

Enjoyed our stay in the Bluebells cabin. Weather could have been better, but we were able to sit outside a couple of evenings and enjoy the beautiful view and listen to the birds. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Arrival / check in was easy. Andrew met us and showed us the Cabin. Everything you need to know is in the book in the Cabin.

We had a great holiday, started with Andrew showing us to the log cabin to give us a quick run down of the lodge and supporting documentation, which we found really useful. Andrew then left stating if we needed any help with anything do not hesitate to call. The lodge was the cleanest and best equipped that we have ever stayed in, everything has been thought of. Views are amazing and wildlife abounds from birds to rabbits don’t forget to look out for the bats at dusk. Centrally based so easy access to the north and the south coasts and all that offers. Thanks again to Andrew and Sally for the opportunity to stay at such a great location.

The host Andrew met us and was lovely and welcoming. The lodge itself was just perfect, everywhere was spotless and it was so well equipped with high quality items. The beds were comfortable, the views to die for and I really cannot think of any negatives. We will definitely be back and I can recommend this lodge to anyone to stay in. Perfect

This was our second time at Bluebell Lodge, we returned because it’s exactly what we needed - beautiful scenery, quiet location, self-contained space to relax. Andrew was always on call for any messages and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here again. I’ll repeat what I said last time… One of the best stocked Airbnbs we’ve been too. It’s the little things that count but multiple cooking utensils, decent amount of pots and pans, herbs and spices, blankets - so well thought out!

Lovely stay at Dartmoor view lodges
Lovely week away at Dartmoor view lodges. Our stay was in Bluebell lodge, one of three lodges in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful location. Superb views over to Dartmoor and lovely lush green surroundings. The lodge was spotless clean, with a very comfy bed which ensured a great night's sleep. Constant hot water was available for showering etc. There was a very well equipped kitchen, with everything you would require for self catering purposes. During our stay, we visited many different areas, by car, including some beautiful beaches, Bude, Woolacombe and Saunton sands, truly lovely beaches. We really enjoyed our stay and we would not hesitate to return to Dartmoor View Lodges, or indeed to recommend this lovely accommodation. The only thing wrong was that it ended too soon! We hope to be back shortly and would like to thank Andrew and Sally for providing the perfect accommodation and location for our holiday in beautiful Devon 😊 Best wishes Elaine

Booked last minute and was an excellent choice. Great facilities, all that we needed. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Also had a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The view was also spectacular!

Stayed in Bluebells for 17 nights in May. It, very much, exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable beds and reclining sofa’s and abundant hot water.It was equipt to such a level that I can assure future guests don’t worry; if you forget anything,they’ll be one in a drawer. The view is what it says on the tin,parking,Wi Fi and everything was spot on. We also were grateful to avoid the hasssle of the last 2 or 3 mile being down a single track road !! We will personally highly recommend the Dartmoor View Lodges (as you may have guessed ).The owners live on site to deal with any issues—Although for 17 days we did not have any problem.

Good holiday
My family and I stayed at Bluebell Cottage over Easter. Whilst the weather wasn’t brilliant we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Plenty to do. It proved a good location for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. The accommodation was excellent- spotlessly clean with a lovely log burner which soon warmed the lodge up. Andrew and Sally were very accommodating hosts and the children loved helping with the horses. We will certainly be returning and I am happy to recommend the lodges.

We liked being here so much we have booked to return next year!
Bluebells Lodge was ideal for us. Nature was in charge here, whether it was expressed as variations in sunlight and weather on the views towards Dartmoor, the soothing sounds of birdsong and bees, or the many kinds of wildflower to de discovered in the fields and hedgerows. The lodge itself was spacious with high quality furnishings and equipment. We were very comfortable. Andrew and Sally were very friendly and helpful.
